I'm a tattoo artist originally from Costa Rica who now lives in Poland, and works between Germany, Costa Rica and Poland.

1st Chapter: My journey starts as I study at Escuela Casa del Artista, their Art technical studies with a specialization in drawing, 4 years of life drawing sessions, anatomy studies, design studies, color theory, and history of art.

Extra Curriculum: I did numerous personal studies of human anatomy and drawing proportions from George Bridgman, Andrew Loomis, John Henry Vanderpoel, Jeff Watts and more.

2nd Chapter: My life changes as I visit a Tibetan Buddhist course in Allgäu, South Germany. Soon after, my life completely changed when I moved to Braunschweig, Germany. I created a portfolio of paintings in Japanese style as I worked in an Irish Pub and a beach bar. Later, thanks to the advice of some of my tattoo heroes, I landed an apprenticeship at Green Pearl Tattoo, after 10 years of trying to decipher how to improve my art and learn to tattoo respectfully.

3rd Chapter: After finishing my apprenticeship and tattooing in different styles and having tried the best known tattoo machines and supplies on the market, including digital design tools, I had the chance to tattoo for the first time in my beloved Costa Rica for one year.

4th Chapter: Now I started a new journey, moving to Poland and coming back to the basics: pens, paper and inks, my beloved Japanese style looks like the most exciting style to tattoo at this point in my career, and I choose it as my main focus from now on. 

 

I started to create a new portfolio of paintings and tattoos in the respectful Japanese style, as well as record the process of my investigations, first through a video podcast and now through interviews and blogging, with the motivation to go to the core of the style in terms of meaning and application, getting the chance as well to meet my tattoo heroes and their Japanese style dedicated studios and the Horimono culture.
